i’m not sure about elsewhere but this made headline news on all channels here in australia…

and its the way this piece was presented coupled with another incident in afghanistan how an afghani cop turned on his british/american trainers is what i don’t like…

so what -is everyone thinking ahhhhh those muslims, you can never trust them, even if they are trying to do something noble…

it was briefly mentioned that the gunmen was harrassed about his ethnicity/faith before the incident, but wish they the media had EMPHASIZED ITa bit more…especially in rednecksville like texas

i do feel sorry for the victims because they didn’t deserve to be hurt but at the same time i guess its a warning to those who push people too far…they will get bitten

was really peeved when i watched this episode of dateline about jewish settlers searching high and law in east jerusalem, buying up and forcibly evicting palestinian residents from their homes that were supposedly previously owned by jews that bordering all around the al aqsa masjid, to strategically stall the peace process, reinforce their opposition to a one state policy claiming that israel is for jews alone because they’re the “chosen ones”…

if they were the chosen ones -why then were they left wondering in the desert for 40 years before even setting foot on a preoccupied jerusalem!!! sounds like the damned then the chosen, especially considering their history throughout the centuries…how can you claim to be the chosen ones when you even murdered your own prophets sent by Allah to keep you guys on the right path!!! when the rest of europe was exterminating your very existence, the muslims were the ones that spared you!!! if they were the chosen ones -why is it not shown in how you treat people, especially your neighbours. its utterly shamefully disgusting!

i was thinking of investing in property in the emirates after doing a few projects in egypt once i start working again but after seeing this program, would really love to find a way in which i can own property in east jerusalem to do my bit in helping the palestinians there and securing al-aqsa, or at least support families in securing their property.

just seems so contradicting how the palestinians can’t do the same with their homes that a nurmerously occupied by their jewish counterparts, especially with the help of the not-so-neutral courts there

i was suppose to go for my blood tests today to check whats wrong with me and had been fasting for the last 12 hours in preparation for these tests until i unconsciously decided to stick a few whitening mint chewies in my mouth….bummer!!! i guess my body was telling me it couldn’t hold out any much longer…

its been 50 days since i last had my period…no -i’m not pregnant. had taken numerous pregnancy tests to make sure all coming out negative. so the doc suggests maybe its my thyroids, i have been gaining more weight these days too…just hope i don’t end up like in this pic

there’s this divorced malay aunty who’s friend’s of mum who’s driving me up the walls…and mum’s just making it worse…

i accidently opened up the kitchen pantry just a few minutes ago because mum was brewing up the malay verson of saki but in a pudding-like form called tapai…there was a big sign that said to don’t open until friday but because i was looking for something to store my coffee sugar granules just delivered by the nearly-bustered coles delivery truck, i totally missed it…so i cracked up laughing because i think i ruined the brew but mum was on the phone telling me to hush in a nasty way…i was like hmmm ok…only to find out she was updating this nosey makcik about my marriage and another of their acquaintances -cik azizah who they’re always in competition with with everything -clothes, jewellery, interior decor kids…grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i hate it…so knowing it was cik nor again i said out loud “stop talking about other people!!!” …i know, i’m doing the same thing but at least i’m not envying anyone like these malay women…

sometimes i wish i wasn’t malay!

on saturday mum threw a kunduri-farewell thingy lunch gathering where she rounded up her nearest mates to wish her well before she goes to hajj…anyways, this aunty nur was there and it was her first time to see baz as we’d always bump into each at the shops…and as she was holdng baz, ayman was to leave to go home as he just came for a short visit and as she was holding baz she said , ohhh he’s just as handsome as his dad…and this was while ayman was going out of the door…

should i be ok about nosey divorced, single aunties perving on ayman, despite the fact that we’re seperated?!?

its not the first time she’s done that…when mum comes over she’ll make mum come home and ask if ayman’s drop by to get him to pick up mum and she’d always give mum something (foodwise) to give for us…she’ll also drop all these awkward questions like “i hear you met your husband online”…and i felt like telling her “well i heard you met your husband in a bar in your early gambling hooker days…and oh your kids…are they bringing brought up as muslim by their athiest dad?…does your daughter where a hijab”‘…-if i was bitchy as her that is!!!

i’ve warn mum after she had finished talking with nur about why she has to blab to the whole australia about my situation with ayman…told her its none of their business…all she (mum) could say was -they asked, and i told her “then I!!!! should be the one telling them how it is, IF I WANT TO!”…she still hasn’t learnt about the many times her other friends have bitched and mocked her whenever she blabbed them about the troubles at home…-like they would have the heart to help!!! and i warned her that if i hear or if this aunty nur aks me about anything personal -i will get blunt and direct so much that i don’t care if she accuses me to be out of line -kurang ajar for someone junior then her…

i know…there’s other ways of telling her to back off but i’m just fuming right now so blurting whatever’s on my mind at the moment…

i just hate other people talking about my problems when they’re hardly supporting me through it (this is the mum that said i deserved to be hit when trying to stop me and ayman arguing all because i was standing up for my right and she thought it was wrong for me to tell him to leave when he was starting to get physical with me)…what a supermum!!! yeahhhhh-not!!!

she’s going to hajj in 2 weeks time and as i want her to forgive me for the hurt i’ve caused her, i hope Allah will make her see the wrong she’s done to me…how un-motherly she’s been to me…

since pm kevin rudd came into power boat loads of asylum seekers/refugees have been trying get to australia…even go as far as setting alight their boats so as to not be sent back to their conflict-ridden homelands or to the places where their first stop to refuge but were treated as mere animals like malaysia and singapore…maybe because the previous pm and then media attitude labelled them as criminals…engaging in illegal activity -to just get away from the shit which is usually caused by the greed of western, developed countries anyways…

last week a boat of sri lankans were intercepted by the indonesian navy as per request by the australian government from entering australian shores…

this was one of the passenger’s plea:

i don’t have a problem of australia accepting genuine asylum seekers/refugees from anywhere especially when australia’s big enough to accept anyone -if malta can accept them why can’t we? (http://www.crikey.com.au/2009/10/19/when-it-comes-to-asylum-seekers-australia-is-no-malta/) …i believe everyone has the right to live anywhere they like, start a new life, make their dreams come true, be a great contribution to society…

but i think if they were to accept any more, not just lock them up on my beloved birth land christmas island which is now labelled as a joke (prison in paradise) or in the middle of the desert and have then all end up having mental disorders -the government definitely needs to have the infrastructure to do so because i think we’re still quite behind…for example housing!

i feel like there’s more homes for these refugees then there are for australian citizens here because its going to take me another 7 years if i were to wait for homeswest to give me a home as the rate to rent even a studio apartment is too expensive here…there’s just not enough homes for everybody or for some to even think of buying one…

what i also don’t accept are those ring of individuals that get paid to give hope and traffic these desperate souls illegally to australia…why is it in these countries, even egypt that they accept the whole notion of paying people to give them a job, a contract, a visa to countries where they can make more money and live better? when if a certain company wants you -they would pay for EVERYTHING just have you work for them? thats what i told ayman when he tried to get a contract to work in the emirates as well as canada. things are that desperate.

but then there’s the racist portion of australia that say australia’s full and think it should remain anglo-cized regardless of where you come from…that if you do happen to end up here -you have to integrate -which is more like disown your own culture, way of life, mother tongue, faith and be white -but still will be discriminated because you forgot to do the last step -undergo plastic surgery to change yourself to be caucasian…

in a way i do feel like a refugee in the very country i was born because even though i make up of what is multicultural about this country and i do call this as my own, but my other fellow people don’t consider me as australian all because i’m different…just like they haven’t yet grasp the first inhabitants of this country -the aboriginals…

i guess australia has yet to figure out its own identity…and its certainly resisting the asian, african, muslim, aboriginal aspect of it…

but personally, a lot of people who i had grown up with, interacted gone to school, work with were refugees, displaced and all i can say is they have broaden my horizons of how i see the world…they do make you appreciate and value life…and they bring also the world that they left behind and make it as part of their new homeland so much that you didn’t really need to go to poland, serbia, kazakhstan, sudan, argentina to see the places and people because you see individuals living it here, even in the classrooms…and they do transform the very country that they’ve settled in with a newer updated identity…
